I hope you enjoy reading therm!
Last month something incredible happened. I placed second in the VestedIn B-Smart pitch competition and was awarded a $5,000 grant towards the growth of Levon! After an intense 14 weeks of hard work, mindset shifts, and getting into business; I worked to I sharpen business skills, made lifelong valuable connections & relationships.
Upon winning I was hit with a huge wave of gratitude, a little shock, and an immense amount of responsibility. After that moment I could tell I was entering new territory and that there would be new levels to reach and more responsibility to bear and carry. But through it all I know it’s not impossible in the slightest. There’s so much more in store and VestedIn really helped me to tap into and remember this incredible power within me. It’s so amazing to have people genuinely care and pour into you and believe in you. The belief in myself has grown & transformed and to see the physical manifestation of that is quite miraculous. Especially, considering all of the small things that occurred just to get me into the door of the program. I am still blown away and still taking it in but ready for the tasks that are ahead. I am constantly sending a huge mount of thanks and gratitude to every single person that got me here especially those who just listened to my casual rants and dreams; you really helped to make this possible and there are too many to name here on this post but I am forever grateful for you.
Here’s to the continuous rise of Levon and our community!
After placing second in the B Smart Pitch competition I was hit with a wave of pride and gratitude but also I was hit with a significant amount of responsibility. I felt that things were about to change and that Levon was indeed growing and because of that I would have more responsibility on my shoulders. Since then I have been processing that all while settling into a brand new space and expanding the business for the next phase. Life has been quite busy if you can imagine.
While going through these huge shifts I was reminded of something I learned while learning to bake sourdough and that is the importance of rest. baking has taught me how important rest is. After working the dough, getting it the necessary consistency, you simply can't just move on to the next step. It is crucial for the dough to rest. So much is happening beneath the scenes that we can't physically see during that rest as well. For instance, in order to continue to be able to work the dough it must rest, otherwise it will be difficult to manage and it will have a tendency to resist further shaping or working of it. Also, flavors develop during the long rest periods which imparts different flavors depending on ambient temperature and how long it rests. This was a huge lesson for me because yes when I am restLESS I am typically not at my best and will resist. But after this rest I am slowly but surely managing my sanity and ensuring that I can perform my best for the repsobibltiy and growth of Levon
During these cold seasons I hope that you really do find time for intentional rest so that you can continue to be your best!
